Applies To Manuscripts, book ideas, author inquiries, creative concepts, uploaded files, drafts, outlines, images, recordings, and project submissions.
01

Author Ownership

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, authors and clients retain ownership of the original manuscripts, book ideas, personal stories, outlines, recordings, notes, images, and materials they submit to Architect Publishing.

Submission of materials to Architect Publishing does not transfer ownership of your original intellectual property to Architect Publishing.

02

Permission to Review Materials

By submitting a manuscript, book idea, outline, draft, form response, recording, file, or related creative material to Architect Publishing, you grant us permission to review, evaluate, discuss, store, and use those materials for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or providing requested publishing services.

This permission is limited to the professional review, planning, communication, and service delivery process.

03

Originality Responsibility

You represent that any materials you submit are either owned by you, created by you, properly licensed, in the public domain, or used with appropriate permission.

You are responsible for ensuring that submitted content does not violate another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy rights, publicity rights, contract rights, confidentiality obligations, or other legal rights.

04

Unsolicited Submissions

Architect Publishing may receive book ideas, concepts, titles, themes, outlines, and creative submissions from multiple authors, clients, prospects, collaborators, or public sources.

Because similar ideas, titles, themes, genres, concepts, or story structures may already exist or may be independently developed by others, submission of an idea does not create an exclusive right, confidential relationship, or obligation for Architect Publishing to compensate you unless a separate written agreement exists.

Important: Do not submit highly confidential, proprietary, sensitive, or trade secret information unless a written agreement is in place.
05

Confidentiality

Architect Publishing intends to handle submitted materials with reasonable professional care. However, unless a specific nondisclosure agreement or written confidentiality agreement has been signed, submissions are not automatically treated as legally confidential.

We recommend that authors avoid submitting sensitive personal details, private third-party information, trade secrets, unreleased business information, or confidential materials unless they are necessary for the project and appropriate protections have been discussed.

06

Use of Submitted Materials

Submitted materials may be used internally to evaluate your project, prepare recommendations, develop proposals, create publishing strategies, provide editorial feedback, produce drafts, organize content, or deliver services you request.

Architect Publishing will not knowingly publish, sell, license, or distribute your submitted manuscript as our own work.

07

Project Deliverables and Ownership

Ownership rights for final project deliverables, edited materials, designs, layouts, marketing assets, publishing files, ghostwritten content, or other work created by Architect Publishing are governed by the written agreement, invoice, proposal, service package, or project scope.

Some materials may include licensed assets, stock images, fonts, templates, platform files, working drafts, strategy documents, or production files that may have limited usage rights or may not transfer unless specifically stated in writing.

08

Third-Party Content

If you provide third-party content, including quotes, lyrics, images, artwork, interviews, testimonials, brand names, logos, screenshots, excerpts, or copyrighted material, you are responsible for securing permission or confirming that the material may legally be used.

Architect Publishing may request that questionable materials be removed, replaced, credited, licensed, or reviewed by an attorney before publication.

09

File Storage and Retention

Architect Publishing may store submitted materials, project files, drafts, communications, and related assets for production, reference, administrative, or recordkeeping purposes.

We are not responsible for serving as the permanent archive or backup system for client manuscripts, files, images, documents, or creative materials. Clients should maintain their own copies of all important files.

10

Manuscript Review Does Not Guarantee Acceptance

Submission of a manuscript, inquiry, book idea, or creative concept does not guarantee that Architect Publishing will accept the project, offer services, enter into an agreement, publish the work, or continue discussions.

Architect Publishing reserves the right to decline projects that are outside our service scope, values, capacity, timeline, standards, or business fit.

11

Legal Review Recommended

Architect Publishing does not provide legal advice regarding copyright registration, fair use, trademark clearance, libel, defamation, privacy rights, publicity rights, contracts, licensing, or intellectual property protection.

Authors should consult a qualified attorney for legal questions related to ownership, rights, permissions, claims, or publication risk.

12

Agreement to This Policy

By submitting materials to Architect Publishing through a website, form, email, upload, consultation, meeting, or project intake process, you acknowledge and agree to this Intellectual Property & Manuscript Submission Policy.

Submission does not create a publishing agreement, agency relationship, employment relationship, partnership, or exclusive obligation unless separately agreed in writing.
