Architect Publishing • Refund Policy

Clear, Fair, And Professional.

At Architect Publishing, every project is built with strategy, creative direction, professional development, and time-intensive service. This Refund Policy explains how payments, cancellations, refunds, and service credits are handled.

General Refund Position

Due to the custom nature of publishing, creative development, consulting, strategy, design, and author support services, all payments made to Architect Publishing are generally non-refundable once work has begun, access has been granted, materials have been delivered, or project resources have been allocated.

This includes deposits, setup fees, strategy fees, consulting fees, publishing package payments, author development payments, design fees, writing support fees, and other service-related payments.

Deposits and Project Retainers

Deposits and retainers are used to reserve production time, begin planning, assign resources, review materials, schedule team availability, and prepare the project for development.

For this reason, deposits and retainers are non-refundable unless Architect Publishing is unable to begin the project or deliver the agreed-upon service due to circumstances within our control.

Service Packages and Custom Work

Publishing services often involve custom strategy, creative planning, research, editorial review, author consultation, design direction, file preparation, marketing preparation, and intellectual work created specifically for the client.

Once any portion of a service package has started, the payment is not eligible for a cash refund. Architect Publishing may, at its discretion, offer a partial service credit, project adjustment, or revised delivery plan if appropriate.

  • Book development and publishing strategy
  • Ghostwriting, writing support, or manuscript development
  • Editing, proofreading, or editorial review
  • Cover design, interior layout, and creative direction
  • Launch planning, author platform development, and marketing assets
  • Consulting sessions, coaching calls, or author strategy sessions

Digital Products, Templates, and Downloadable Materials

Digital products, downloadable resources, templates, guides, training materials, worksheets, checklists, video trainings, online courses, and similar digital assets are non-refundable once access has been granted or the product has been delivered.

If you experience a technical issue accessing a digital product, please contact us so we can help resolve the access issue.

Strategy Sessions and Consultations

Paid strategy sessions, consultations, author planning calls, publishing reviews, and coaching sessions are non-refundable once scheduled time has been reserved or the session has been completed.

If you need to reschedule, please provide reasonable notice before the scheduled session. Missed appointments, late cancellations, or no-shows may not be eligible for rescheduling or credit.

Payment Plans

If a client enters into a payment plan, the client remains responsible for completing all agreed-upon payments unless otherwise approved in writing by Architect Publishing.

Work may be paused, delayed, or withheld if scheduled payments are missed, declined, disputed, or not completed. Completed payments are not automatically refundable simply because a payment plan is canceled or the client chooses not to continue.

Client Delays, Incomplete Materials, or Change of Direction

Architect Publishing is not responsible for delays caused by missing client materials, incomplete intake forms, delayed feedback, missed meetings, lack of approvals, or changes in project direction after work has begun.

If a project is delayed by the client, payments made remain applied to the project. Architect Publishing may revise timelines, pause production, or require a restart fee depending on the length and nature of the delay.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We ask all clients to contact Architect Publishing directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Most concerns can be addressed through communication, clarification, project review, or a revised delivery plan.

If a chargeback or dispute is filed, Architect Publishing reserves the right to pause all active services, revoke access to digital materials, withhold deliverables, and provide documentation of work completed, communications, agreements, and payment terms to the payment processor.

When a Refund May Be Considered

Although payments are generally non-refundable, Architect Publishing may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

A refund, partial refund, credit, or service adjustment may be considered if:

  • Architect Publishing is unable to begin the service purchased.
  • A duplicate payment was made in error.
  • The wrong product or service was purchased and no work or access has begun.
  • A written agreement specifically allows for a refund under certain conditions.

Important: Submission of a refund request does not guarantee approval. Approved refunds may be reduced by payment processing fees, completed work, administrative costs, or services already delivered.

How to Request a Review

To request a refund review, service credit, or project adjustment, please contact Architect Publishing in writing and include your name, purchase date, service purchased, reason for the request, and any supporting details.

Refund review requests should be submitted within 7 calendar days of purchase unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

Final Decision

Architect Publishing reserves the right to make the final decision regarding refund eligibility, service credits, project adjustments, or continued service based on the agreement, work completed, access granted, resources allocated, and the circumstances of the request.

By purchasing from Architect Publishing, the client acknowledges and agrees to this Refund Policy.
